Not everyone has access to stores on Indian territory in western New York. In my case, my neighbor volunteered to pick up tobacco for me because he drives out once a month, when his check from Social Security comes in the mail. He goes to the Sakajawea at the Basom, NY location. I suspected, but recently confirmed that he is stealing money from me by claiming the cost $5 more a carton than they do. He seems to be just like the politicians he claims to hate who tax tobacco out of sight.
Does anyone from Lyons go to this reservation? My cartons cost $10 a piece. I cannot confront my neighbor until I find an alternative. Even if I have an alternative, he is the type of person one does NOT want to provoke. (He is a pathological liar.)
